As I have mentioned before, I think that many individuals in society are nothing but rude. Rude to their kids in public, rude to their significant other in public or even rude to complete strangers. This issue is not about the concern of the complete strangers, but it is about the concern for the kids and the significant others that tend to be degraded in public.

In society today, teenage pregnancy is known to be very common. I am not here to offend anyone in particular nor am I bashing on teenage pregnancy. I am sure that many of you are aware of this problem, but it has become so common that most people see it as "normal.

The other day I was listening to my i-Pod and the song "Don't laugh at me" by Mark Wills came on. As I was listening to the song it got me thinking about students with disabilities. The chorus, "don't laugh at me, don't call me names don't get your pleasure from my pain, in God's eyes we're all the same, someday we'll all have perfect wings, don't laugh at me.

Choosing colleges can be tough. A lot of aspects of college can be difficult and overwhelming. One of the issues I've recently come across is working on transferring to Wichita State University. It's been confusing trying to sort out all the classes I need for prerequisites, figuring out expenses, financial aid, etc.

When I walked into the theater for the movie "Shutter Island," I didn't quite know what to expect since I had never seen a Martin Scorsese film. Shockingly, I was actually impressed with the film. It had a good plot, good acting and a nice pace. The film begins with our main characters, U.

Over the years April Fool's Day has captured the minds and imaginations of many people. Most just look on the small scale, using this day as a way to tease and make fun of their friends. However, there have been some fairly large scale April Fool's Day pranks that "set the bar" so to speak.

Book to film dubbed successful

The movie "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" recently hit theatres and did fairly well for a book-to-film that was released on the ever-popular Valentine's Day weekend. Although the film stays pretty true to the book, I read the novel first and thoroughly enjoyed it.
