On Wednesday Jan. 26, the Cloud County Thunderbirds visited the Power Plant in El Dorado. It would be a disappointing visit for the Thunderbirds, as Butler was able to win 70-53.

Butler track team adds three new qualifiers for Nationals. The Butler track team participated in the Jayhawk classic track meet at the University of Kansas on January 28. Coach Becker said, "The women's team had a great day as they added three new qualify marks for the NJCAA Championships and had a lot of personal best performances.

Sitting on top of the Jayhawk West Division with Hutchinson, a win at Seward County was crucial for the Lady Grizzlies. Even better yet, they were taking on a Seward team that was not the dominating force as they have been in past seasons.
Butler continues to struggle on the road. The Dodge City Conquistadors defeated the Grizzlies 76-73. Due to the weather, the game between Butler and the Dodge City was played on Thursday Feb. 3 instead of Wednesday. The last time the two teams met Dodge City beat Butler 79-68 inside the Power Plant
The Lady Grizzlies are making it a habit of knocking off first place teams in the Jayhawk Western Division. First it was Hutchinson and now the Cloud County Thunderbirds are the new victim.
Coming into the game in third place in the conference, the Lady Grizzlies knocked off Cloud County 78-65 on Wednesday Jan. 26. The victory now moves Butler into second place, behind Hutchinson in the Jayhawk West.
